Story Starter: Traveling to Timbuktu
Our Hero travels to Africa in 1387 to visit the Mali Empire in Timbuktu. Have students imagine they are taking a trip to Africa tomorrow and staying at the Timbuktu Inn. They will write a story about their journey and time in Africa using one of the story starters included in the worksheet. Possible plot points are included, but students will also have to do some research on the topic.
